I would really like to know if one can make a Gedcom file of ones Tribal Pages tree and export it to my desktop as a backup. The help section here is not clear about this and appears to say that one can only import other trees, not export my TP one. Yes, I could buy their expensive pendrive, but would IT be in Gedcom format or not? SOMEONE, PLEASE REPLY ! many thanks.

In the dashboard section, back up your Tribal Pages tree. Once done you can then download the back up file. It will appear in your download folder on your computer.

thanks for that. worked OK but of course did not include any pictures, so TP will be the only place I can see those and I have enough that I have to pay sub for them; so, back to square one! I can use the GED file in another genealogy website, but not with any of the pictures (and it took me ages to upload all of them to TP).
